president of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim has described extreme poverty
as "the defining moral issue of our time" and hopes a new World Bank
Group strategy will help to end poverty by 2030.More than a billion people in the world live on less than $1.25 per day, with frequent natural disasters and global economic crises pushing the neediest people further below the poverty line.
